Meeting of Religious Justice Committee

Please join us for a meeting of the Religious Justice Committee, Thursday, September 7 at 7:45 PM in the Durand Room of the Maplewood Main Library.

SOMa Action’s Religious Justice Committee is responsible for monitoring and responding to incidents of anti-Semitism and Islamophobia, primarily, although we are concerned about all forms of anti-religious behavior.

Charlottesville was a tipping point for many, indicating that those who hate now feel free to do so publicly. During the last school year there were local incidents of anti-Semitism in the schools and at the South Orange reservation.

It is time for us to declare our stand against hate.  Please join us for a broad-ranging discussion about how we can teach religious tolerance, acceptance, inclusion and respond to religious hate wherever it may show itself.
