SOMA Action’s Committees Are in High Gear – Fighting for a Better World
You Can Help!
SOMA Action was formed in reaction to Trump’s election. With Trump now out of office, SOMA Action has completely relaxed because the country is now perfect and we don’t need to be doing anything more to advance the progressive causes that will make the world more just and equitable. Right? Hell, no!
SOMA Action runs on the fuel of its committees – committees put the “action” in SOMA Action.
Right now, its committees are actively engaged in an incredible array of initiatives to fight for a better world. Here’s a sampling:

Advocating for a racially just cannabis industry in SOMA
Advocating for black-owned businesses
The Climate Committee
Rallying members to take Empower NJ actions that will accelerate cuts in greenhouse emissions in our state
Mobilizing to save the South Mountain Reservation
Enabling a Quiet Maplewood (and South Orange) by advocating for a ban on gas-powered leaf-blowers
Joining the campaign to make the Oil & Gas industry pay for the damages they knowingly caused
Recruiting activists to sign the Westfield 20/20 Climate Commitment to adopt greener practices
