The SOMA Action Reproductive Rights Committee

The Reproductive Rights Committee is focused on expanding access to reproductive health care and abortion care in New Jersey.  We know that rights without access are meaningless, so we are committed to expanding access to marginalized and underrepresented people in NJ. 

Reproductive Rights is part of Reproductive Justice, which SisterSong defines as “the human right to maintain personal bodily autonomy, have children, not have children, and parent the children we have in safe and sustainable communities.”

We are currently focused on two primary goals:

• Advocating for legislation that will expand access to abortion care to all people in NJ, and support providers here in NJ

• Working to provide practical support to people in NJ who are in need of abortion care
