Ballot Box Bonanza: The Votes Are In!

Voters flocked to the ballot drop box in South Orange on Saturday, October 17, to participate in the Ballot Box Bonanza, and more importantly, to vote!

It was SOMA Action celebrating and supporting democracy at its best: encouraging early voting, making it a celebration, and ensuring beautiful weather!!!

We’d like to thank all the folks who helped pull our #ballotboxbonanza together, including:

- South Orange Village and @gregoryburrus for bringing this to life with live music and local promotions;

- Miti Miti New Jersey, Cait & Abby's Bakery, Yoni Kreger Salon, The Fox & Falcon and Sadie's for rewarding voters with special treats;

- SOMA Justice - Addressing Race and Inequality for cosponsoring with us;

- Sheena Collum, South Orange Village President for your inspirational words and Steve Schnall for your support organizing;

- and all our SOMA Action volunteers for cheering on voters.

Special shout-out to volunteer Jeremy Dobrish who was the driving force in pulling everything together, and to Matt Peyton Photography for documenting the event--check out some of the photos, below:
